Programming & Web
WHAT WE TEACH
The Programming and Web Development Program at the Franklin County Technical School is directed toward the training of students for positions in computer programming and web development.
In the Programming section, students are taught object-oriented and structured programming concepts using a variety of programming languages, such as Python, C#, and Java. This section specializes in game programming in the above languages. Students also experience working as a team. At the end of four years, students should be able to create high-quality video games and applications.
In the Web Development section, students are taught how to create professional websites using a variety of tools and languages, such as HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and PHP, while using applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Blender, and Unity.
At the end of four years, students should be able to design, create, and maintain client/server-based websites. Occasional opportunities exist for students to gain real-world web design and development experience. Please submit your request using the "Work Request" form found in the "Community" section of this website.
