Graduation TODAY, May 29 @ 5 PM

Graduation ceremony and parking

Good morning.  We've been keeping track of the weather and with only a 15% chance of rain in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon, we are going to proceed with a Thursday night graduation ceremony at 5:00 pm on the FCTS football field.  Seniors should arrive tomorrow by 4:15 pm and will meet up in the gymnasium.  Seniors should have their caps (if decorated, they need to be school appropriate and will be checked by administrators), gowns, medallions, and cords (if they received them).  Tassels will start on the right side of the cap.

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 pm, so please give yourself plenty of time to park and make it to your seats.

As far as parking goes, Senior students will park on the back side of the building (between the greenhouse and the annex (on both sides of the road).  Staff will park in staff spaces near the softball field.

Handicap and School Committee parking will be in spaces near the football field.  People in need of a handicap space should let a parking attendant know and they will be directed to the proper place. We will have some golf carts available to drive folks to their seats if they require assistance.

All other guests will be parking on the Turners Falls Airport property.  This parking will be accessed from Industrial Blvd close to the FCTS property line.  There will be parking signs and attendants pointing folks in the right direction and getting cars successfully parked.

As I stated last (Tuesday) night, we will have several staff members taking photos of the graduates (on stage, at the arch, and in the crowd).  Those photos will be made available through Google Drive within a few days. Folks are welcome to download whichever pictures they would like for free.

Additionally, we will be recording the ceremony.  It will not be live streamed, but we will upload the video to Youtube and send everyone the link so they can share the ceremony with those who are not able to attend.

We are looking forward to  celebrating our Seniors with a really nice ceremony tomorrow evening!
