Application and Admissions Timelines

2025–2026 School Year

 

Franklin County Technical School uses an unweighted lottery system for admission, which means that every student who applies has an equal chance of being selected. No additional points, rankings, or preferences are used in the lottery process. This approach ensures that admissions are fair, transparent, and provide an equal opportunity for all students who apply.

 

Application for the Class of 2030 Closed on January 15th, 2026

 

Lottery Drawing & Acceptance / Waitlist Email Notification

Thursday, Feb. 5th, 2026

 

Deadline for Families to accept or decline admission

Friday, Feb. 27th, 2026 at 3pm

  

Any 9th grade seats that become available after the February 27, 2026 deadline

will be offered to students placed on the waitlist in the order established by the lottery. 

All enrolled 9th grade students will be contacted in late March regarding Placement Exams  

 

Transfer Student Applications for 2026-2027

Open Monday, March 2nd (Grades 10 & 11)
