FFA sophomores in the Landscaping & Horticulture and Animal Science programs worked hard today preparing the Franklin County Fairgrounds for this weekend's 176th Franklin County Fair.
The 27 students were performing Community Service for the Franklin County Agricultural Society. The students scaped, painted, weeded, spread stone, and helped set up the livestock barns.
"All of the students are working toward a chapter degree in FFA and that involves community service and leadership," said Sara Dugas, FFA advisor and Animal Science instructor.
Added Amanda Mattison, FFA advisor and Landscaping and Horticulture instructor, "We're trying to partner more with the Franklin County Agricultural Society, and they want to encourage more participation on their youth committee."
Sounds like a win-win for the school and the Agricultural Society!
