Aviation Maintenance Technology
The Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Franklin County Technical School prepares students for exciting careers in the rapidly growing aviation industry. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, students learn how aircraft are inspected, maintained, repaired, and kept safe for flight.
Students train in FCTS’s state-of-the-art aviation facility, which includes a 12,000-square-foot hangar, real aircraft, jet engines, avionics equipment, hydraulic systems, and specialized inspection tools. Working with industry-standard equipment allows students to develop practical skills in aircraft systems, engine operation, electrical and electronic systems, hydraulics, structural repair, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.
The program provides students with opportunities to:

Work directly with airplanes, helicopters, engines, and aircraft components
