Our Librarian
Mr. Keniston has been the librarian at Franklin County Tech since 2019. Under his direction, our library is a welcoming, comfortable, and engaging space. The print and online collections respond to the academic and recreational reading needs of our students and faculty. He was a member of the Massachusetts Teen Choice Book Awards selection committee and has been a long-term member of the ALA, AASL, MLA, MSLA, and NHSLMA.
Prior to joining us, Wally was an English teacher in Nicaragua, Library Assistant and Director at middle and high schools in New Hampshire and elsewhere in Massachusetts since 2001. A few of his other experiences include being an Engineering intern for NHPTV, the audio-visual director for a school district, website developer, documentary videographer, a DJ, News Director, and Interim General Manager at three radio stations.
Wally owns and operates a used bookstore in his hometown of Wolfeboro, N.H. that he started in 1978. He is a writer of free-verse, publishing his first chapbook in 2025. In his free time, he is a three-season swimmer in Lake Winnipesaukee, has traveled to five continents (two more to go!), enjoys hiking with his dog "Austin," winning an occasional game of cribbage, and having long conversations in Spanish.
